si-Fi scans nucleotide sequences for siRNA (small interfering RNA) forming
potential, and then searches for targets of the resulting siRNAs within
a custom nucleotide database. It can predict also formation of putative
highly efficient siRNAs. The software is designed for checking
long-dsRNAi-forming constructs for target specificity and silencing efficiency.
It can be used also for selecting sequences regions suitable for designing RNAi
constructs for specific and efficient silencing of genes.
